PSDC 3 ON 3 Streetball Challenge Trophy 2011

Penang Skill Development Centre, the Title sponsor together with Partner sponsors Maxis, OCBC Bank, Pallas, Isonic, B-suite Hotel, Auto-City in partnership with Penang Basketball Association (PBA), Kwong Wah Yit Poh Press, and Sports Pro Marketing Sdn. Bhd present their first 3-On-3 Basketball Competition of the year entitled "PSDC 3 On 3 Streetball Challenge Trophy 2011". The event is supported by Penang State Youth and Sports as well as Majlis Sukan Negeri Pulau Pinang.

The objectives of this event are to promote basketball, and to introduce the game to the other non-playing half of the society, on top of that the organizations aim to help the young generations stay away from drugs and be more healthy for both mentally and physically.

The competition is scheduled to begin on the 26th of March in PSDC, Penang, with the next stops at Auto City (May 28), Kulim High Tech Park (tentative venue, 3rd leg, 16th July), Straits Quay (tentative venue, 4th leg, 24th September), and the Grand Finale returns to PSDC, Penang (5th leg, 19th November).

There are a total of 5 categories in contention, all categories are open to Malaysian and Non-Malaysian. They are: (A) Boys 15 & Under (Born on or after 1996), (B) Boys 18 & Under (Born on or after 1993), (C) Boys 21 & Under (Born on or after 1990), (D) Ladies Open and (E) Men Industrial Park Open. Entry fees are priced at RM150 per team for categories (D) & (E), and RM90 per team for the other categories. Entries come with jersey and goodie bags. The closing date for registration is on the 19th of March 2011, and are limited to 250 teams with a first-come-first-serve basis. Entry form can be downloaded at www.sportspro.com.my.

Prizes for winners include Pallas voucher worth RM600 and goodies for the Champion, Pallas voucher worth RM400 and goodies for the 1st Runner Ups and Pallas voucher worth RM200 and goodies for the 2nd Runner Ups for each category. Other event highlights include “Shooting Competition”, “Most Creative Freestyle” and “Lucky Draw Session” with a 32” LCD TV to be won.
